slow but steady

Spring is just taking its own sweet time for us up here in New England, however,
the tulip bulbs I planted in November are starting to poke their way out of the cold ground.
I am crazy excited about these since I planted them all over the yard in memory of my girl, Charlotte.
I am expecting them to be pretty mature by the time I arrive back from Atlanta.
Let's hope the deer don't get to them first as they seem to be pretty hungry these days.
With the promise of Spring comes the promise of plenty of great beach days ahead, and lots of cool beach action.
So with that in mind, I added Harold to my camera bag today and can't wait to take him with me on some upcoming adventures. For now, he will have to wait; and I will continue to wait for that first beautiful tulip.

Rainy Sundays

Rainy Sundays are such a great excuse...to be lazy.
Not today  though for us, lots to do. New changes for us around here including some subtle changes to the blog and the website.  The dogs wanted a more active part in the blog, so I have arranged for them to pop on here and there. They will share their thoughts on the best new products in petland that make their life so happy.  I am happy to share that I am attending Learnfest 2009 in Atlanta next week. Very, very exciting...I have heard great things about this workshop.
I think as a photographer, particularly a new photographer, education is so crucial.
I am excited to learn, get inspired and meet other photographers who are passionate about their art and their individual success.
In the meantime, will leave you with some recent photos of some cuties this winter.
Henry makes his home in Provincetown and Mr Bruin is an islander.
Have a great rest of the weekend and we will be back soon!

Spring is coming...

Crocuses (croci?) are blooming, birdies are singing, and days are longer and just a tad warmer.
It looks like we may have a nice Spring this year if today was an example of what is to come.
We celebrated Zach's second birthday today at Tupancy Links here on Nantucket.
Tupancy (for short) is essentially Nantucket's version of dog heaven. Wide open field with a long walking trail, views of the Atlantic and usually plenty of pups to play with.
Friends, both human and canine, came to play, enjoy the sun, laugh, play fetch and even welcome a brand new puppy, Trigger, to the gang.
Zach was overjoyed to say the least.
